Book Blurb

Wedding bells are in Matty Strauss' future. Not his own, of course. He's about to cater for the biggest event in his career, and the fact he's had to sell out to do it is just icing on his stress-cake.

Needing to loosen up and forget his worries, Matty takes himself out to his favorite club. Hooking up with a random hottie was part of the plan, but finding out it's the groom-to-be wasn't.

This story is also in the They Do M/M Anthology.

Book Review

Laced with humor, self-deprecating and otherwise, this story is about the world of catering for weddings, and the ambitious guy who cannot resist an opportunity for some major PR by helping a friend with her big-time wedding. The fact that he sort of sells out (since her husband-to-be’s father is a very conservative senator) bothers him on some level, but it takes a while for him to realize exactly what it means.

Matty wants to succeed. He is about to advance his professional life several notches, but his personal life leaves much to be desired. A quick, and very hot, encounter at a gay club leads to almost-disaster when he recognizes the man he got, ahem, intimate with the next day as the bride’s fiancé. Truly angry he spouts off, saying a few things he shouldn’t—only to discover… But I can’t say anything more without spoiling the surprise. Believe me, you are going to love this twist!

If you like stories that will make you laugh for various reasons, if you enjoy reading about impulsive, very extroverted characters who are masters at inserting their feet into their mouths, and if you’re looking for a hot, funny read with a great twist, then you will probably like this short story.
