Book Blurb

Alpha Brian Walker has lived amongst the hunters for years. He never suspected they might have been the ones who destroyed his pack, or turned him against his family. A tip from a stranger throws him into a tailspin, and the life of his mate is put in danger. The people he trusted are not to be trusted, and the man he fell in love with might be in danger.

Eddie just wanted to go to school and earn some money. The tall, looming, and handsome figure that caught his eye was never part of the plan. When Brian comes to him, Eddie can't say no. Not even when the dangers are revealed. The fact that his new lover is a werewolf, and that he may have gotten Eddie pregnant, throws everything for a loop when the hunters attack.

They're after Eddie and the baby, and Brian will destroy anyone who tries to harm his mate.

Book Review

And the plot thickens… With more clarity about the need for Dakota’s pack to get as strong as is possible in every volume, the ‘New Luna Werewolves’ series keeps delighting me. If things go as planned, the pack’s destiny will be very different from the way it could have been, and that is a very good thing. Seeing the explanation of how this change is brought about is fascinating. Each step is wonderful and makes me more optimistic. ‘Giving In’ was no exception, and with the story of the couple starring in this book having brewed for a while, I was very curious what would get Brian to “give in” and accept his fate as a mated alpha.

Brian is a very rare werewolf. He has been living with hunters ever since his entire pack was murdered, and while it was clear to me that he has to have been brainwashed by the hunters who supposedly took him in, Brian is blind to their nefarious plan. They are using him to hunt and kill his own kind, and Brian has bought into their story of “only killing bad werewolves” lock, stock, and barrel. Not even his brother, Brooks, who is a member of Dakota’s pack now, can get Brian to see the light. It takes Eddie, a human who turns out to be Brian’s mate, and a few traumatic events to get Brian to begin changing his mind. He is reluctant doing it and I’m not sure he is fully “converted” even at the end of the book, but that only makes him and his partial change of mind more believable.

Eddie is the cute sometimes-waiter at the diner near Dakota’s home. He is something else! Small of stature, with blue hair and a mind of his own, he is determined to become a nurse. He studies hard, works at the diner to earn the money he needs so he can feed himself, and he is delighted when Brian shows an interest in him. After a few false starts and stops over the last few volumes of the series, they finally get together – in every sense of the word – and the consequences are significant. Eddie refuses to believe anything he is told, but when he sees Brian transform right in front of his eyes, even he runs out of excuses. Tumbling headlong into a world where werewolves exist and can get their male mates pregnant turns out to be the biggest adventure of Eddie’s life.

If you want to know how Eddie and Brian finally manage to figure out they belong together, if you like some action and a few surprises in your romances, and if you’re looking for a read that is entertaining yet deals with some serious issues while managing to be very hot, then you will probably like this novella.
