Book Review

The 'Sirius Wolves' series by Victoria Sue has been one exciting, action-filled story after another and this seventh book is no different. 'Full Circle' is the final battle between Anubis and Orion, and not only the fate of werewolves hangs in the balance, but also that of the human race. I was on pins and needles from the moment I turned the first page.

"Jed. It was an impossible task. Not only was Jed obviously not attracted to men, but he guarded his heart because he had loved deeply once, only for that to be taken away from him."

I'm not going to reiterate the plot line because it's fairly obvious from the description. Adam is Sirius's champion and he has to win Jed's heart in two weeks and then destroy it all over again. I was really beginning to loathe Anubis. Jed's first pack wasn't very large and definitely not knowledgeable in terms of humans, so when Jed's human mate got pregnant, they didn't know to be concerned and take extra precautions. Very few human females can carry a werewolf's child to term, much less either of them living through the experience. It has been twenty years since Jed lost her and his son, and his heart has been walled off ever since.

It was so difficult to watch Adam struggle with his feelings knowing he had to go through with his duty or Anubis would win and everyone would suffer a horrible fate. Jed was falling for Adam but because of his past he knew he would never be allowed to keep anything that made him happy. Both of these men broke my heart while at the same time I kept trying to spot everything that Anubis was doing to keep Adam from succeeding. It was suspenseful and not always in a good way.

An incredible ending that in some ways I guessed but in others I was surprised, so that made it even better. I can't believe this is the final book and I'm hoping the author will return to this world to showcase happy times, loving mates, strong babies, and peace. Until that time I have to be content with this incredible series and this magnificent story. 'Full Circle' was absolutely everything that I wanted it to be. Thank you, Victoria.
