Book Blurb

When forest ranger Gil gets the call that a rabid wolf is roaming his territory, he figures it's just another stray coyote. Instead, he finds Rafe, a skinny, worn wolf shifter who also happens to be Gil's lost mate. Gil thought Rafe was dead, killed by hunters years ago, so finding Rafe alive, if not well, comes as quite a shock.

Rafe never thought he would escape the compound where the crazy bastards who were trying to reform shifters held him. With a little luck and a lot of help, he's made his way back to Gil, who he never forgot, no matter what those men did to him. The problem is, he's not sure Gil knows what to do with a beat up former lover.

Gil and Rafe have to work together to recapture what was lost, and maybe find something new.

Book Review

This third book in the ‘Reclamation’ series focuses on yet another victim of the cult that is out to “reform” shifters with a twelve-step program that forces them to lose touch with their inner animal. The actions of the woman who has been freeing shifters become a little clearer, and it looks as if the idiots who have been trying to stop shifters from following their nature might be forced to shut down their operation soon.

Rafe has been through hell and back. His way of escaping his torturers was to stay in wolf form. After all, the wolf is stronger, he has always been more wolf than man, and without his mate, what is the point? But as soon as he escapes and makes it back to Gil, the mate who thought he was dead, the hard work of trying to remember how to be human begins. They need to talk!

Gil may be a shifter, but he is just as comfortable as a man. He is ecstatic that his mate turns out not to be dead, but he wants the man back as well. There are some unresolved questions between them regarding the wolf versus man thing, and it was heartbreaking to see them struggle through their issues on top of trying to reacquaint themselves with each other.

If you’re interested in shifter stories where humans and shifters struggle to get along, if you want to see how two men deal with a much-wanted reunion and the problems in their relationship at the same time, and if you’re looking for a read that is filled with hope, then you will probably like this novella.
