Book Blurb

Nerdy by day, naughty by night!

Nathan Wright has a secret life. During the day he’s a dedicated student, working hard for his maths degree. But times are tough, and in order to make ends meet by night he becomes “Einstein”, wooing punters with his online solo sex show. Still wounded by his last dysfunctional relationship, Nathan’s happy being single. But when his highest tipping client demands it, Einstein has to overcome his social awkwardness to rope in some extra help.

Party boy Rory Jones has never given his geeky neighbour a second glance, but he’s not one to turn down the offer of a free blowjob, even when Nathan tells him it’s going online. Once on camera, Rory discovers his exhibitionist streak and the two of them are so hot together, the one-off becomes a regular gig.

But being neighbours with benefits isn’t without its challenges. Nathan’s client keeps wanting more, and he finds himself pushed into a role he’s not prepared for. Meanwhile Rory’s growing affection leaves him worried his ultra-rational lover won’t ever be able to share his emotions. If he and Nathan can’t find something more than great sex in common, they’ll be left with the square root of absolute zero.

Book Review

“You what?” Surely he hadn’t heard that right. “Did you just ask how big my knob is?”
Nathan stuck his chin out. “I need to know.”
“Why does it matter to you?”
“B-because I need to perform fellatio on someone with an above average sized penis in the next ten minutes.”

I am never, and I mean never, disappointed in a Josephine Myles story. She's pretty much an auto-buy and/or auto-request for me, and there are many reasons. One of those is that she is so very British, and I grew up in a family that watched Fawlty Towers on the BBC, among other things. The humor in her books is incomparable, the plots are wonderful, the romances are hot and sweet. When you get right down to it, what more could I want?

Nathan and Rory are so different, at first glance. Nathan is a geek, no two ways around it, a certified geek with a black and white brain. Rory is a social guy, tattooed, he has friends, goes out, messed up his A-levels and his first job, etc. Rory also has a sweet center where he likes to cuddle, he doesn't take himself, or anything else, too seriously, and he has a wickedly funny sense of humor. Things that Nathan really needs in his life.

“Romance is a fairy tale made up to sell books and films to gullible consumers. And I don’t really see how the android analogy works. What we did was pure animal.”
“I suppose. But I think mammals like to hug afterwards.”

Poor Nathan. Yes, he is a socially awkward nerd who has difficulty interpreting body language, but he also got hurt pretty badly, and even though he's got feelings for Rory, he's terrified the same thing will happen again. Rory is confused to the point where he doesn't know if he should tell Nathan how he feels, and run the risk of being told that love isn't real, it's just an overabundance of oxytocin. There were a few moments where I wanted to smack both of their heads together.

'Einstein's Peep Show' was everything I hoped it would be, and more. A delightfully sweet, slightly raunchy, tale of two guys who really needed each other, but didn't have clue one about that fact. Thank you, Jo, but especially a big thank you to your son for taking his daily naps so you could write again. I really hope that continues *grins*
