Stakes, kilts and holy water—Andrew Meyer is in for the time of his life!
Radney’s tired of being the coven oddball. He had his reasons for being the way he was, and he let those reasons rule his life for centuries. Another mistake—almost harming a human he’d been sent to keep an eye on—has sent Radney on a mission of self-improvement. He’s going to conquer his issues and be the best damned vamp ever!
Maybe.
Andrew Meyers has the term paper from hell to write. It needs to be original and intriguing. What could be more so than people with a vampire fetish?
But when that fetish turns out to be one he has, for a very sexy, kilt-wearing, neurotic vampire, the tables are turned. Andrew isn’t prepared to find out that vampires are real, but he learns it anyway. With help from his twin brother, Erin, he just might be able to find a happy ending—or an ecstatic beginning—for him and his hot as hell red-headed vamp. If he’s careful, and patient, he might even find the vamp for him.
Radney is, literally, the most adorable vampire I've ever met. Granted, I mean that in a, bumbling, goofy, not so bright kind of way, but there's really something about him. He was turned hundreds of years ago, and had he not been, he probably would've died a virgin. Radney has a bad case of sticking his foot in his mouth, or his whole leg, to be honest. He doesn't like to bite humans for food, so he lives off of bagged blood, but he forgets to eat, and then he goes into blood lusts and does even dumber things than normal. Hence the Grand Plan to make everything right with his coven.
Andrew is just trying to come up with an interesting, make that fascinating, topic for his term paper at college, when his twin brother double dog dares him to have sex with the next gay, available, dangerous man. Well. You can't back out of a double dog dare, even if this goes completely against Andrew's rigid rules. Luckily for him, Radney is the man who shows up on his doorstep, in a kilt no less! Unluckily for Andrew, Radney turns out to be a vampire that Andrew swore he didn't believe in.
'Don't Stake My Life On It' is book two in Bailey Bradford's series, 'The Vamp for Me', and I liked it even better than book one. I really liked that the author is delving more into the subject of the human hunters and that Claude's coven is going to need to come up with a plan to handle them before their entire coven is decimated. I adored Radney and Andrew. They are perfect together and provided me with a lot of laughs, smoking hot sex, a sweet falling in love story, and a great happy ending. Excellent job, Bailey, and thank you!
