Barton Montoire, the ghost of a nineteenth century riverboat gambler, is devastated and angry. His lover, physics professor Sabine, has exorcised him. Again. This time, there's no denying the professor's actions were intentional. Worse, Bart can't seem to convince their friends to aid him in his quest get Sabine to listen to his side of things.
With his lover Bart safe from shadowy threats of eternal damnation in the "other realm," ghost hunter Sabine Brusilov is free to pursue his own risky investigation into the mysterious circlet and its connection to the shadow figure that's been tormenting the unlikely couple. With the help of his friends, he determines to take control of the situation and bring Bart home.
I can't believe I'm nearing the end of Pulp Friction 2015. I mean, each of the four authors writes five books and then they combine to write the stunning finale. I'm so not ready for this year's fun to be over. I love that it tied into the 'Altered States' universe written by Laura Harner and T. A. Webb. So, now I'm wondering how Lee Brazil is going to explain Sabine coldly and viciously exorcising Bart. Not very nice, if you ask me.
Sabine is working hard on trying to figure out how, exactly, to summon this darkness that has invaded his home, in order to destroy it. He exorcised Bart in order to keep him safe, although Bart has already returned and is looking for answers. Oh dear, this can't be good. Typical Sabine. With enough research he figures out how to summon this demon. Now he just has to make sure he can control it.
Oh, another exciting tale! Even though I'm sad I'm nearing the end, I can't wait to get all the answers these authors continue to tease me with. Thank you, Lee!
