Book Blurb

Zoey is a woman totally comfortable with her attraction to other women. Zoey knows that she and Morrie McKinloch are perfect for each other. Not only is the chemistry explosive, Morrie is a ton of fun to be around. If only Zoey can convince Morrie that being a lesbian isn’t the end of the world.

Morrie cannot forget the hot New Year’s Eve sex she had with Zoey Statham. She never expected to be attracted to another woman. How can she tell her mother that her only daughter is swearing off the fairytale prince in favor of the princess?

When Morrie’s friends set her up with a local guy, she figures this is her chance at normal. Too bad a handsome man isn’t incentive enough to keep Morrie out of Zoey’s bed. No matter how much Morrie tries to be what her family wants, her heart already knows where she belongs.

Book Review

This book is smokin' hot! Plus it includes great friends and a charming family who own and run the McKinloch's Pub that is a wondrous gathering place. This magnificently interwoven tale that starts with a brief Halloween interlude at the Pub and ends on the unusual calendar convergence of Mardi Gras and Valentine's day is at times sublime, sexually mesmerizing, and brings more than one character to some extraordinary enlightenments. I recommend this to everyone and hang on to your seats. Breathtaking!

Zoey Statham is a talented craftsperson, an acknowledged out lesbian, and a loving soul. She, like almost all the characters in this book, is a regular at McKinlock's Pub. During the brief opening Halloween scene, I learned of Zoey’s inner desire for the youngest member of the McKinlock clan, who is their only daughter. Zoey senses that one of the McKinlock brothers is fairly clued in to Zoey's yen for his sister, Morrie. This opening scene sets the tone and the focus, but it barely hints at all the astounding permutations waiting in the wings. Amazing!

Mary Maureen McKinlock is definitely better known as Morrie. Currently, on New Year’s Eve, she is a bit unhappy because it appears everyone near and dear to her seems to have either hooked up with the love of their life or married them. Gavin, one of Morrie's brothers, and his wife start to put on a super passionate display in front of the whole pub! Morrie is suddenly overwhelmed with the *ick* factor since Gavin is her brother. Zoey commiserates with Morrie proclaiming how rude some people can be when it comes to shameless public displays of affection. Zoey's proclamation sets in motion one of the most intriguing sequence of events I have ever read! The eldest of the McKinlock siblings throws down a gauntlet at Zoey's feet, in essence challenging her to put on her own spectacle of heated craving. Oh my goodness! What happens next is so startlingly perfect and darn near trumps anything anyone has done up to that point. Fantastic!

I completely recommend this book for the wonderful cast of characters and indescribably enchanting main story involving Zoey and Morrie. Including the events in the pub, the holiday highlights, and the whole McKinlock family, this book covers the bases wonderfully and provides a magnificent supporting atmosphere for the main gals. This is a flat-out winner. Incandescent!
