Book Blurb

Kidd, who just found out he was a Raven shifter, is barely getting by. With a group of like-minded Ravens, they have to find enough food to eat and survive in this whole new scary world that they’ve found themselves thrust into. Try as hard as Kidd can, he is out of luck and he has nobody to turn to.

Clarkston just moved to the feline Coalition. When his group of soldiers stumble upon a group of friendly, young Ravens, they have no choice but to take them back to HQ. The fact that Clarkston feels immediately attracted to Kidd has nothing to do with the situation…honest.

Will these two be able to overcome hate and be together or will they be torn apart, left to love each other from afar.

Book Review

My journey with the ‘Lost Shifters’ series by Stephani Hecht began over five years ago so I’m flabbergasted at how I’ve now reached the final book (or, what I believe to be the last one). I have greatly enjoyed each and every contribution to the series and its world, although any story with Shane involved will always be my favorite.

Clarkston is Carson’s younger cousin and so, in a way, the author has almost come full circle. Carson was exiled when his Coalition discovered he was gay. Clarkston was beaten practically to death and then dumped far away. Lucky for him an assassin finds him, helps him heal, and gives him some valuable training. Now Clarkston is at Mitchell’s Coalition in hopes that Carson will welcome him.

Kidd is a raven with an unusual ability. He never knew he was a shifter until it just happened and now, somehow, his home has become refuge to quite a few other ravens who shifted suddenly and didn’t know their heritage. Ever since they’ve been holed up a large group of smelly, disgusting ravens has been stalking them and it’s beginning to wear heavy on Kidd and his group. Not nearly as horrible, though, as when the feline Coalition members show up, kill all the ravens stalking them, and then arrest Kidd and the rest of the strays.

This was a very sweet story. Kidd and Clarkston’s romance is a slow build with a very nice ending. I’m still not sure if this is the end for the series but the author added some twists and a brand-new foe so perhaps there will be more to come.
