Banger wants to save the day. Mik wants to save the world. What they really need is to save each other.

When Banger wakes up in an earthship house in the desert, surrounded by dragons, he knows his whole life has changed. Add to that the fact that the man he's been chasing for years has a new lover, and he's pretty sure his day can't get much weirder. Which is when he accidentally trips trying to save his friends and shoots someone.

Mik has never been shot on a first date before. When his spirit dragon Piasa tells him to go to the little compound in the Chihuahua desert he's expecting dragons, maybe smugglers, but he figures no one could expect Banger. Even as Mik falls for Banger, his new lover decides he's a danger to the baby dragons he's there to help, and Banger ends up kidnapped by a white slaver in the desert. Can Mik save Banger from danger, and keep him from hurting himself?

Publisher's Note: Coyote Dance is best enjoyed after reading Turquoise Trail (Desert Dragons 1).

Book Review

More dragon magic! I’m always in the mood for that, and this second book in the ‘Desert Dragons’ series offers it in spades. There are more revelations, some interesting developments, and plenty of loving on top of all the action/adventure stuff that make this installment of the story a treat to read.

Banger, the guy who delivered the groceries to Oliver the dragon keeper in book one, is back. This time he gets to meet his own pair of special dragons, as well as a man who is interested in him and brings his own dragon surprise. Banger is somewhat clumsy and manages to shoot Mik in the shoulder, totally by accident. He needs a keeper of his own!

Mik fights smugglers and rescues refugees in the desert, but as soon as he meets the dragon (and Banger) he realizes his life has changed. His spirit dragon is a sight to behold (when she is visible, at least), and Mik is fascinated to see that everyone accepts her. That is not something he is used to, but he’ll take it.

If you like this series and want to know what’s next for Oliver and Arturo, and now Bangor and Mik, if you enjoy stories about clumsy men who find their calling in life, and if you’re looking for lots of cute little dragons, one powerful spirit dragon, and some very hot loving, then you will probably like this short story.
