Book Review

Each previous book in this series has had a different kind of supernatural touch to it – from psychic powers and magic robots to demons – and this one is no exception. I wasn’t sure what kind of supernaturalness was awaiting me, but based on the blurb I suspected it might be ghosts or a haunting, or maybe some sort of possession. I was both right and wrong – and I’ll have to leave you to discover the exact details because I can’t say anything more without spoiling the surprise.

Jacob is the one telling the story, and it’s one with more than one twist and quite a few turns. Once his mentor, Malcolm, dies the adventure begins – only Jacob does not realize what is happening. He does his best to find out, but with a guy like Malcolm involved, nothing is easy. Christian is a dream guy, but since Jacob has no idea what is real and what isn’t, he has a hard time figuring out Christian’s role. What a ride!

If you like stories with lots of supernatural mystery, if a young man trying to decide what’s real and what’s a dream is your thing, and if you’re looking for a read with twists and turns that might just turn you completely around, then you might like this short story.
