Book Review

I honestly can admit that this year's Daily Dose package 'A Walk on the Wild Side' is my favorite of the ones I have experienced to date. It stands to reason with how very much I love shifters and each of the authors has brought something fun, sweet, adorable, hot, and sexy to the mix. The world building varies from story to story and that has definitely kept me riveted. I've also discovered several new-to-me authors and that always makes me happy. ‘Buddy the Cat’ is a good example of all of the above.

For the longest time when I was a teenager I wanted to be a librarian. I loved the library with all the books and the fabulous Dewey decimal system. It called to my inherent need for order and control. My life took a different turn however, but it was nice to see Noel loving his life amongst the stacks. I could understand the long hours he worked precluding Noel from feeling able to rescue a cat, so when Buddy begins to show up in the evenings it almost seems like fate. Noel loves his time with Buddy and it gives him someone to talk to in the loneliness of his apartment.

Meeting Mike one day throws Noel for a loop because he could swear he knows him from somewhere but he can't place it. Noel and Mike keep bumping into each other and Noel is really cute in the way he stumbles along in conversation. Noel does begin to notice some unusual things about Mike but, hey, who doesn't have quirks?

A very adorable addition that I would have loved to be a little longer. I definitely could have read more about these two.
