Book Blurb

Sentry Bray Buchannan has known who his mate was for over six years. He had to watch as Lany was held prisoner by the Senate, unable to free his mate or even acknowledge the connection between the two of them. Now, if Bray can rescue Lany from the Sentries guarding him and reach Haven before they are caught, there might be a chance at freedom, a chance for the two of them to finally be mates.

Lany has waited forever for Bray to come for him. When he does, the fear of being caught is overshadowed by the simple touch of his mate’s hand. Lany would rather have an hour in the arms of his mate than a lifetime without him. And if they can’t reach Haven in time, he just might get his wish.

Book Review

This third installment of the "Loup Garou" world of wolf shifters adds yet another hunted omega to the ranks of those who resist the Senate and its cruel Sentries. It's the story of Lany, a blind omega shifter, who has known his mate is Bray, one of the Sentries, for six years, yet they have been unable to claim each other for all that time. Now that bray has found information about a safe place for them to run to, they're ready to escape. It still doesn’t make their life easy, but at least they have a chance. IF they can make it. The suspense is very high throughout, and the obstacles they have to overcome are considerable.

Lany is blind from birth, but with the help of his enhanced shifter senses he manages quite well. Even in dangerous situations, he doesn’t become helpless. Despite his fear, he holds his head high and fights for himself and Bray, irrespective of his lack of visual perception. I couldn't wait to find out what special omega abilities he has, and I wasn't disappointed!

Bray is a big, tough Sentry, one of the best, but he falls apart for his mate. That combination of rough exterior and behavior and emotional vulnerability is very appealing. He tries his best to take care of Lany now that they're on the run, but he couldn’t have done it without his mate. The cooperation between them is beautiful to watch.

Like the other couples in this series, these two guys are meant for each other, but unlike the others, they have known for years and were kept apart by circumstances. Now that they're together, their love blooms into explosive-grade passion, and finding the refuge Bray has found out about becomes more urgent each day. With the right balance between action, passion, and a few more revelations about this series' omega world, I found it to be another very entertaining read.

If you like stories about werewolves who already trust and love each other but have never been able to consummate their relationship, if you enjoy books with male pregnancy and hardened warriors becoming doting lovers and fathers, and if you want to know how all the guys from the first two books are doing, you will probably like this novella as much as I did.
