Werebear Trey feels totally out of place when he hires on at Hot Tin Roof as a bouncer. There are all these beautiful men who dance at the club, like Sammy, and like Sammy's bartender boyfriend, Jordan. Then there's the fact that most guys look at a big, burly guy like Trey and think he's a top, when Trey is anything but.
Sammy meets Trey and he knows the big guy is just the subby bottom he and his werecat shifter lover need. Jordan is such an effortless top, and he makes Sammy feel like a rock star, but they could both open their hearts to take Trey in. Can they convince this homeless bear he has a place with them?
Hot Tin Roof, the bar where shifters and nonshifters alike go to have fun, is again the location for the next story in the series, and what a hot one it turned out to be. With a broke, lonely werebear, a sub-by fire elemental, and a very Dom-my werecat the lineup is perfect for an entertaining and heartwarming tale – which is precisely what ‘Bouncer Bear’ is all about.
Trey is at the end of his rope (and way beyond the end of his money), when he goes to apply as a bouncer at Hot Tin Roof. The reason why he is running and very shy become clear later on, but I felt for him right from the start. Due to his stature as a werebear, everyone thinks he is a Dom, but they could not be more wrong. He likes honey and naps (duh – what bear wouldn’t?) but he also enjoys being told what to do, at least in the bedroom.
Sammy, the dancer and a fire elemental with his own issues, and Jordan, the bartender who is a werecat and a “master Dom”, have been together for a while. They also like to play with a third man on occasion, and right from the start they are both interested in Trey. Making it work, what with Trey so hesitant, is not as easy as it looks, but there is lots of scorching activity as they try to “make their case” as it were.
If you like hot threesomes between a variety of paranormals, if you think every lonely man deserves a loving home, and if you’re looking for a sweet story with some lovingly kinky scenes, then you will probably like this novella.
