Book Blurb

Tommy Morgan's life was turned upside down at the hands of his Alpha. Now, another one is claiming to be his mate. He's not ready to jump into a relationship with anyone, still suffering from nightmares due to the abuse he experienced. Instead, Tommy moves in with his brother, Declan, hoping for the space he needs to heal.

Pennaeth Alpha, Benjamin Taylor, has his hands full dealing with all the packs across Australia. When he finds his young mate battered and bloody, he knows Tommy is going to need time to recover and come to terms with everything. Ben is more than willing to give his mate anything he needs. Even if that means them living apart for now.

When passion finally ignites with unexpected consequences, Ben knows he'll do anything, fight anyone, to keep his mate safe.

Book Review

The Atherton pack, as small as it is, located in a remote place in Australia, is quickly becoming one of my favorite packs. Liam, the beta, and Declan, a fugitive from another pack’s cruel alpha, have mated in book one, and this time it is Declan’s younger brother, Tommy, who needs to figure out how to relate to his mate, Ben, who is Atherton’s alpha as well as the Pennaeth Alpha of all of Australia. With Tommy almost beaten to death by his old alpha, the same one Declan ran from, Ben needs to be patient and give Tommy time to recover. Not an easy feat, but his ability to wait and support Tommy in is recovery made me admire Ben all the more. This is unquestionably a story about destined mates, but they both go about it with sensitivity and logic before they allow the underlying passion to bloom. And once it does? Oh boy!

Tommy has not had it easy. Almost beaten to death, now in a strange place, he is confronted with a powerful mate. And even though Tommy knows this man is different, both his instincts and his brother Declan tell him so, it takes a while for him to heal and to come out of his shell. Once he decides enough is enough, and refuses to live in fear any longer, he manages to take his fate into his own hands. Mostly. The one thing he had not counted on was the effects of being claimed by Ben during the new moon…

Ben is a busy man, but as soon as he finds his mate, and knows Tommy needs his help and support, he spends as much time as possible at the man’s side. He even moves into Declan’s house, where Tommy is staying for the time being. Taking care of Tommy after his almost nightly nightmares is all he can do in the beginning, but as Tommy gains self-confidence, that turns into more. And when the consequences of mating during the new moon become undeniable Ben turns into an even more considerate mate.

If you like werewolves who are able and willing to show their softer side, even if only around their mates, if two men who know they are destined for each other still need to take the time to know each other before they jump into bed, and if you’re looking for a cute, sweet read with many “hot moments”, then you will probably like this novella.
