Book Blurb

They know a thousand ways to kill...and zero ways to love.

As a Battle Bunny, honed in the fires of hell, Bailey fights every day just to function. Blind since birth, the skills he learned to protect himself after years of torture at the hands of a sadistic scientist keep him alive, but nothing can protect him from the mate he discovers on a rescue mission.

Harvey Blackstone watched his brother die a slow agonizing death from behind the bars of the cage he had been tossed into. He vowed revenge on those that took his only family, if he survives that long.

When the doors opened and the most stunning man he had ever seen steps inside, Vey is close to death. Discovering the man who rescues him is also his mate seems like a gift from the gods. Claiming Bailey is not the same as keeping him safe. The scientists that kept him prisoner are after them all, and it will take more than a family of Battle Bunnies to keep them all safe. It will take a miracle.

Book Review

“Battle” and “bunnies” is not a combination that I have ever even thought of before. With bunnies being little fluffy things, the idea of them turning into black-ops-type battle ninjas is just a little off – apparently off enough for Stormy Glenn and Bellann Summer to take it, make it their own, and run with it. The result is a very entertaining first story in a new paranormal series, set in a world that promises fun, surprises, and adventures of the oddest kind.

Bailey and his brothers have been through hell. Captured when they were babies, sold, and used for cruel experiments by so-called scientists, they have finally taken life into their own hands. They are now a fighting unit out to free other shifters from labs all over the country. It just goes to show how even the meekest creatures can become dangerous when they are tortured to the point of needing to fight back – or die. Bailey is determined to carry his weight in their operations, never mind that he is blind. He was born that way and has learned to more than compensate with his other senses; he is an essential part of the “Battle Bunny” attack force.

Harvey – Vey – is a rare shifter type, and has been captured and tortured by evil scientists. Bailey frees him, much to Vey's amazement since he never thought a blind man could be as useful as Bailey turns out to be. But there is more to their story – Vey soon figures out that Bailey is his mate, and goes all possessive on him. Bailey won’t stand for it, and the ensuing battle of wills – all while they try to get to safety - was as intense as it was entertaining.

When Bailey and Vey bond they are in for a major surprise that had me grinning. I’m sure the consequences will show up in the next book, as will a few of the secondary characters. There are some wolves, a mysterious duck, a traitor, and more evil scientists than should be legal. All signs of much more fun to come, or so I hope.

If you like paranormal stories with a touch of humor, if two men who need to find a way to live together despite their different natures are your thing, and if you’re looking for a read that is as entertaining and funny as it is suspenseful and hot, then you will probably like this novella.
