Book Blurb

A cat caught in a Christmas tree, a rich CEO, a photographer who makes sexy posters, and one Vet’s aide who is right in the middle. Can this lead to Xmas love?

Xo is a cat that even a cat whisperer can't calm down. A busy business CEO who is as cantankerous as his cat that attacks him whenever he has a board meeting meets a young vet's aide who can calm Xo but insists the problem is with the owner. Sparks fly like Christmas lights plugged in the wrong way.

Xo needs a HEA Christmas, and so do these two men.

Book Review

People meet for the strangest reasons, but the one in this book had me grin. There is Xo, a willful cat who thinks he owns the world, like most cats do, only a little more. His human is Lee, a bossy, rich CEO who does not spend enough time with the cat he inherited from an aunt. And then there is Shawn, a student making money as a vet’s aid, who has the ability to calm down animals, but especially Xo.

From their first encounter, Shawn an Xo get along famously. Shawn has a way with animals, clearly loves and understands Xo, and the mercurial cat clearly appreciates him. What Xo does not like is the fact that her owner is gone so frequently, so he keeps making messes to let everyone know how unhappy he is.

Lee is a mysterious rich guy, definitely bossy, but also determined to make Xo happy. As Shawn gets to know him and they bond over Lee’s need to have Shawn take care of the cat while he is gone, they begin to get to know each other. But the barrier between them is still huge in Shawn’s mind, and it takes some very creative maneuvering on Lee’s side for him to get what he wants… Shawn in his bed.

If you enjoy stories where a hardworking student meets a powerful CEO and falls for him despite his best efforts, if you think that two seemingly very different men can find a way to be together, and if you’re looking for an entertaining read where the cat determines what happens next, then you might like this short story.
