Book Blurb

Theodore has already been disappointed in love twice, and he isn’t looking for any more heartache. So when the handsome Nicholas informs Theodore that his love is the only cure for his curse, Theodore refuses to believe it.

But Nicholas knows from their very first kiss that Theodore is the man for him. He isn’t going to give up until he convinces Theodore their love is what they’ve both spent years longing for.

Book Review

This third book in the series set on a parallel world called Melara gives us the story of Theodore, who was somewhat of a bad guy in the first two books, but has come to be 'reformed'. At the end of book two, already working on redeeming himself, he is partnered, without having a choice, with a ghost named Nicholas. This story is about Theo's reconciliation with his fate, and Nicholas's desperate attempts to make Theo love him – if he cannot manage the task, the curse he is under will make him fade into nothingness. No pressure, right?

Theo is conflicted. He has recently changed his life, is now helping people, and suddenly he is forced to accept a partner. Not that he doesn’t think Nickolas is hot – but to be given no choice? And to know that if he doesn’t fall in love, the man's existence will end? No wonder Theo is a bit reticent. He withdraws, acts weird, and I was wondering why he had such a problem, once it was clear that he was actually very attracted to Nicholas. But it all makes sense, sort of, once Nicholas gets to the bottom of it.

Nicholas is desperate. He has waited for a long time to find the man he choses to help him break the curse, and he's pretty sure Theo is it. And he only gets one chance. But the man fights him ever step of the way, and it takes Nicholas a while to figure out what is going on. The 'campaign' he starts to win Theo over is fun, and turns hot very quickly.

If you like historicals with a paranormal bent, if you enjoy stories about curses and men who have to redeem themselves, if for different reasons, and if you're looking for a hot, short read with two stubborn men butting heads, then you will probably like this book.
