Book Blurb

In a world where shape shifters are openly bisexual, vampires have insatiable sex drives, and warlocks emit pheromones, warlock Zander Knight struggles to make sense of his own strict upbringing. Everything in Zander’s world changes the night he decides to break the rules and meet on-line chat buddy Giovanni at supernatural hot spot Club Arcane. Suddenly, he finds himself face to face with a magical conspiracy, a huge family secret, and the most handsome man he’s ever seen.

Zander’s night of drinking and partying comes to a screeching halt when the club is attacked and several magicals are abducted and murdered. Zander is catapulted into the middle of a quest to find who or what is killing supernaturals, while sorting through his feelings for a fearsome shape shifter prince named Tau Long.

Born into a conservative magical family, Zander decides not to tell them he's gay. Unfortunately, Zander isn’t the only one in his family keeping secrets. This is more than just one warlock’s love story -- this is a supernatural adventure.

Book Review

Readers looking for a different spin on stories of the paranormal Male/Male Romance ilk should definitely take a gander at ‘All Knight Long’, the first book in the ‘One Warlock’s Love Story’ series. Dynamic, powerful, and action-packed are a few of the words that come to mind as I think on my journey with Zander Knight, a gifted, gay, seventeen-year-old warlock who has just graduated from high school… mortal high school. Reminiscent of John Hughes’ Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, with a touch of the Harry Potter comradery, and the action of a Marvel comic, ‘All Knight Long’ is a highly original story with enough magic, mystery, suspense, and romance to satisfy the most demanding of paranormal fiction readers. It certainly kept me mesmerized through its thrilling twists and turns. A fast-paced and sparkling start to what promises to be an exciting and tension-ridden series.

A sixth generation warlock with extraordinary potential, Zander holds more power than he knows how to handle, but he’s just trying to figure out how to tell his family that he prefers men. Nurtured by a loving grandmother and surrounded by his powerful family, he’s never really had cause to use his powers. But when he secretly meets up with his online friend Giovanni for a night of fun… everything changes.

Zander and Giovanni are partying at a supernaturals-only nightclub when Zander meets Tau, a gorgeous, hunky shifter. Before Zander and Tau can fully explore the magnetic pull they both feel, the club falls under attack. Teaming up with Tau and Hung, Giovanni’s of-the-moment vampire hookup, Zander and Giovanni escape the assailants only to learn that the entire supernatural world has come under attack. Worried about his family, Zander races for home and his friends are fast on his heels. Tau’s appearance outs Zander to his family and a shipload of secrets comes to light, sending Zander’s close-knit family into chaos. But when Zander learns his grandmother is among those captured by the mysterious assailants, everything, including his family’s bittersweet reaction, is placed on a backburner and he and his friends sprint to the rescue.

This is a terrific book and my synopsis barely touches upon the action of both the magical and smexy variety that occurs within its 140 pages. The attraction between Tau and Zander plays out swiftly, but misunderstanding slows the love dynamic to a more realistic pace, and I look forward to seeing their fledgling relationship develop.

Zander, Tau, Giovanni, and Hung are strong, charismatic characters and the story’s strengths revolve around their group dynamic and the intriguing details on of their individual backgrounds. Zander is tantalizing as the maturing man-child with a gymnastics-honed body, artless personality, and heart-of-a-lion courage, while Giovanni is street smart/sass and vinegar to perfection, making them a humorous and complementary friend pairing. I loved the mysterious and powerful Tau and can’t wait to read more about his pending battle for leadership of his shifter turf. The fourth of the group, Hung, is supercool as the sexy vampire always steady and ready… be it for a love or war; I hope he continues his role in the next volume of the series.

What makes this book work? Rich, vibrant action, solid dialogue, and colorful characterization. It’s a thorough and fast-paced read and has vast potential and plenty of material for a fantastic series. But mostly ‘One Knight Long’ is a fresh and rewarding take on the paranormal world. Bold and highly creative, I strongly encourage paranormal book lovers to check it out.

Thank you, Shad O. Walker, for bringing a new brand of color and diversity to the paranormal world… Abracadabra!

“Wham, Pow, Bam…Magical!”
