Book Blurb

There’s only one place to go for a guaranteed happily ever after.

Finding a Faeted match is always supposed to lead to true love, but Adrian doesn’t believe that anymore. After six months of perfect bliss with his fire mage Corrin, Adrian caught him kissing someone else at a party. Now he wants a new match, and he never wants to see Corrin again. A matchmaker at Faeted gives Adrian another mate and tells him to go to a hotel to find him.

But when Adrian gets to the hotel room, he finds Corrin there, waiting for him. Naked and bound, Corrin has served himself up as a perfect peace offering, if only Adrian is willing to take a second chance at love with him.

Book Review

This second installment in the intriguing series about a matchmaking agency for supernatural beings has a refreshingly different focus from the first one. Yes, it is also about finding a forever mate, but Adrian has a particular issue – the fact that his supposed forever mate kissed someone else. Not a major crime, maybe, but also not something I have seen often in the world of fated mates. Needless to say, the fact that Adrian’s requested second match turns out to be with the same mate had me wanting to find out how in the world that is supposed to work.

Adrian is a dryad, but rather than being steadfast and stable, which I somehow imagined a being in charge of growing and keeping trees healthy would be, he is rather dramatic. Seeing his lover of six months kiss someone else can’t have been easy, but the way Adrian stomps off and demands a new mate is just a little over the top. Luckily the guy in charge at the agency knows just what to do, and Adrian and his fire mage, Corrin, get a chance to reconsider. A very sexy chance at that!

If you like dryads and mages and want to watch them deal with their peculiarities, if a matchmaking agency potentially making a mistake sounds like an interesting possibility, and if you’re looking for a hot, entertaining read with lots of drama and some hot man-on-man action, then you might like this short story.
