Dancer Seth Avery has it all. He’s at the top of his game as a dancer and he’s in love with famous dance director Fayden DelMonaco, the man who is his sub. Seth’s whole world is turned upside down when Fayden dumps him in the nastiest and most public way possible. To compound matters, he’s in near fatal car crash shortly thereafter that leaves him severely injured.

Brook Turner is an ex-lawyer turned micro-brewer, baby-brother of Seth’s best friend Lizzie. The two met briefly before Seth’s accident, but it’s when they meet again six years later that they get a chance to act on the attraction they’d initially felt.

With Brook’s help, Seth begins to heal not only from his residual physical injuries, but also from the emotional ones inflicted by Fayden. Will it be enough to keep the two of them together?

Join Seth and Brooke as they find a new way to dance together.

Book Review

‘A New Way to Dance’ is an in-depth look at a relationship that is a lot more complicated than it seems at first glance. With two men who share chemistry and are really good together outside the bedroom as well as once they get physical, it seems obvious that they belong together. And yet… Seth has been through hell in breakup terms, can no longer follow his dream of being a professional dancer, and doesn’t have a whole lot of self-confidence as a consequence. Brook can’t see any of that (or the other issues he discovers) as a reason to not be a couple… but he’ll need a lot of patience if he wants to make it work. The resulting story is engrossing, emotional, and has both men learning new things about themselves as they try to determine if they are meant to be together long-term.

Seth had it all before losing everything due to a spiteful ex-lover and a serious car accident that has left him unable to dance professionally. He teaches music theory now and while he is okay, he isn’t happy. He thinks he has control over his life and that being in charge is all he needs, but running into Brook changes all of that. It forces Seth to face some of the underlying issues that might have been part of the reason his relationship didn’t work out (other than the fact that his ex really is an a**hole).

Brook has found his spot in life as a micro-brewer, still feels attracted to Seth years after they first ran into each other, and is determined to have more than a quick hookup with the beautiful man. As they get to know each other, Brook begins to realize what Seth’s issues are. They only emerge gradually, and I really liked discovering them as Brook did, so I am not going to say what they are. But they’re real and Brook has his hands full trying to figure out the best way to get Seth to open up and trust him enough so he can help Seth to heal.

If you like characters with issues and the partners who help them grow, if you want to see two men fall in love and figure out what works for them as a couple, and if you’re looking for a romance on the kinky side that focuses on trust, control, and a touch of playful D/s, then you will probably like this novel.
