Drafted into a secret British unit dedicated to defeating Hitler's occult forces, American GI's Sam Rutherford and Charlie Watson have found comfort in each other's arms. But will their love endure past the end of the war that brought them together? Charlie wants it to, but Sam isn't so sure. It may not even matter, because Charlie is a marked man. He learned dangerous Nazi secrets on a scouting mission, and now they're just waiting to get a shot at him.
NOTE: All proceeds for the sale of this book will go to the OutServe charity organization, whose mission it is to assist those affected by "don't ask, don't tell, don't pursue."
Two Yanks are teamed up with European and British psychics to wage a complicated and deadly part of World War Two against their German counterparts. The stakes are high as are the exhaustion levels.
Sam Rutherford is the physically stronger and taller part of the Yank duo. From Tennessee, he is hoping to get back home in one piece although that would probably mean separating from Charlie. Being lovers is very much frowned upon almost everywhere in the world, but the psychic coalition the Yanks have joined is admirably open-minded.
Charlie Watson is a very strong psychic. He is also often the most physically drained after a group session wherein the team fights their enemies within the etheric realm. A two-day leave lets Charlie and Sam escape to a secluded spot where Sam can help Charlie regain is strength through their physical closeness and loving activities.
Sam takes a hit for Charlie and during his multi-day recovery comes to a totally clear revelation that will impact both of the men, their future, and their love. I adore psychic components and military guys. Even without my favorite kind of nether regions spinning in and around the multi-national force, I would give this short story a thumbs up.
